Editorial Policy

QuickPost is an aggregator. We do not publish original reporting, and we do not give any story a page of its own. A headline on this site is a link to the outlet that published the article.

What appears on a headline

A line shows the headline, the source name, when it was published, and how many outlets are covering that story. The source name and the outlet count come from the publisher record, not from a guess in the browser.

We may show a short excerpt supplied by the publisher's feed. We do not run the full article text.

How a story gets on the page

Headlines are drawn from publishers' feeds and grouped so the same event is not repeated as if it were five different stories. Topic pages and edition pages are collections of those headlines, each with a short introduction written by QuickPost. The introductions describe the beat. They are not news articles.

What we leave out

Canada and Offbeat are not sections of this site. Tag pages and search pages are tools for visitors and are not meant for search engines. Individual imported stories are not given URLs on thequickpost.com.

Corrections and takedowns

If a headline, excerpt, or source name is wrong, or if you are a publisher and want an item removed, email [email protected] or use /contact/. Include the original article URL. We correct display errors and process removal requests promptly.
